Saturday, June 13 3:20 p.m. We have arrived at River Garden Inn for our second visit and checked into room 316. It's a nice room with two queen size beds, a flat screen TV. Jordana has gone to the vending machine to buy drinks. But I digress. We left home about 1:20 p.m. Driving was clear all the way and I used cruise control most of the drive. I think it's time to relax the ole' footsies for a while. Talk to you later.
5 p.m.
11:25 p.m. Afterwards we went to the Festival Theatre and walked around the grounds for a bit before visiting the gift shop. Finally it was show time and with seats in Row G we couldn't miss. West Side Story is a classic and was a fantastic musical. Afterwards we went to Tim Horton's for coffee and dessert. Now its time to wind down and relax before we call it a night (a night!). It was a great day. We always pick really good plays. So until tomorrow… GOOD NIGHT!!
Good morning Stratford. We're showered, dressed and packing up. But are we having fun yet? Hardly! I haven't even had my morning coffee yet. Whatever!! Chat later.
9:11 p.m. Now, where were we when life so rudely interrupted? Oh yes. We had just gotten up and gotten ready to leave River Garden Inn. Well we left, checked out and headed to Demetre's, for our usual breakfast stopover. Was pretty good, as usual. We are such creatures of habit. Continuing along, we went to Dollarama, where we spent far more than a dollar but managed to pick up some supplies for Jordi's USY trip in just a few weeks time. From there we made a short trek to Sears, where I got some clothes and Jordi got new sandals. Lisa also scored some clothes at another store in the mall. After a short lunch break, we changed in the mall (well the mall washroom actually) and headed to downtown Stratford to see A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. It was cute and funny and despite still being in Previews was a first class production. Oh yes, before the play, we ran into Paul and Amy at the theatre. They were there this weekend also with some friends to see a few plays, including this one. After the performance, we walked over to Kitchen Connaisseur where I bought some mustard and BBQ sauce. Then it was over to Gene's for an early dinner. Finally at 6:01 we departed Stratford. What started last fall when we purchased our theatre tickets had finally come to an end. I guess like all things, that's the way it goes. Such is life.
We went to Demetre's for breakfast and mom had toast with bacon and Dad and I had omelettes. After we went to the Dollar store and got lot of stuff for my trip. We then went to Sears to get sandals because my white sandals were going to break soon. We walked around the mall and went into the other dollar store before going to A & W for fries. We then decided to head over to the theatre and decided to walk around the outside since it was a nice day. We then decided to go to the Theatre store and saw Paul and Amy. The play was very good. After we went to the jam store and dad got mustard and a BBQ sauce. We decided to go to Gene's for dinner.
We were in the car at 6 p.m. Overall it was a nice weekend. Hard to believe it is 17 days til I leave and I got the most things this weekend. I know dad had a nice birthday weekend.
Once again, For a complete listing of Stratford plays seen over the years. go to Stratford Central.
