On June 30, 2007, the family packed an overnight bag and headed to Stratford, Ont. to see two plays, just as we had planned back at the start of the year. We left before noon and approximately 90 minutes later arrived in the city. We checked into our motel, the Festival Inn, situated just on the outskirts of the city, and went for lunch. Afterwards we relaxed around the pool area and the room before changing and heading into the city.
After walking around a while, we went out for Chinese food for dinner and then saw To Kill a Mockingbird. The play was great. It remains a classic.
After the play we headed back, stopping at Shopper's Drug Mart to buy some milk and juice for the room.
The next day, Canada Day, we checked out and went for breakfast down the street. Afterwards we found a video store and bought the movie, To Kill A Mockingbird.
With plenty of time left before Oklamhoma! started, we went to Zeller's and to Dollarama before heading to the theatre.
Unlike the drama we saw the previous night, Oklahoma! was a musical and a very good one at that. We loved it.
After the play we went to Kelsey's for dinner and headed back to Toronto.
